1. Fotini Bakery House

What began as a small village bakery in 1935 is now in the hands of Yiannis and Andreas and their mum Mrs Stavroulla, who continue their family’s baking tradition. Stop by for coffee, brunch, and a taste of the arkatena recipe that has been passed down through generations.

2. The Black Geese

The Black Geese tavern feels less like a tavern and more like a collection of stories gathered over time. Vintage instruments, colorful objects, and unexpected details fill every corner of the space. Owner Konstantinos has been welcoming guests since 2011, with live music keeping the atmosphere lively every Saturday night and Sunday noon.

3. Themistokli’s Tavern

Some places never go out of style. Mrs Chrysoulla and her son Themis continue a family tradition spanning more than 30 years, serving traditional recipes in a garden setting made for long, leisurely meals.

Right in the heart of Omodos Square, Arkatena Elenis is the kind of place where a quick coffee break can easily turn into a longer stay. Ioanna and her family keep local food traditions alive while serving coffee, brunch, and homemade products inspired by their grandmother’s legacy.

Wine has been part of the Herodotou family story for generations, and today, Mr George continues that tradition at Linos Winery. Come for the wine tasting, stay for the mountain views – and don’t leave without trying Cyprus’ original blue wine. 

6. George's Daughter & Son Bakery & Cafe

At the entrance of Omodos Square, siblings Andrea and her brother continue the baking traditions they learned from their grandparents. Fresh bread, homemade cakes, traditional sweets and good coffee make this an easy stop at any time of day.

7. The Tradition Coffee Shop

If you love places with personality, this café won’t disappoint. Between the eclectic décor, homemade treats, and famously popular carrot cake, it’s easy to see why so many visitors stop for a photo – and end up staying for coffee.
