More than a bakery
Some places in Omodos are more than a quick coffee break. Fotini Bakery House is one of them.
A family-run bakery and café rooted in a tradition that began in 1935 with the original ‘Fotini’ Bakery House. What started as a small cottage bakery has been passed down through the generations, from great grandmother Eleni to grandmother Fotini, and now Stavroula, guided by a recipe of love, devotion and perseverance. Today, Stavroula’s sons Yiannis and Andreas continue the work, shaping a space that blends tradition with a contemporary village café feel. They were among the first in the village to introduce brunch, alongside coffee and food made from local ingredients. The family’s arkatena recipe remains central, and workshops keep older baking techniques part of everyday life.
