The Black Geese

Hidden within the village of Omodos, Mavres Xines feels like a space collected over time. Once a stable filled with old clay ‘pitharia’, the stone-built space has evolved into one of the village’s most distinctive gathering spots. Every corner tells a different story, with vintage instruments, colorful objects, and unexpected details carefully curated by the owner himself, a young local who has been running the space since 2011, named Konstantinos. Live music on Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtimes keeps the atmosphere lively, while the cellar setting, food, and warm service encourage people to settle in and stay a while.
