A new viewpoint in Kyperounda

If you’re visiting Kyperounda this summer, there’s a new reason to stop and take in the view.

A new photographic spot overlooking the village has recently been unveiled, offering visitors a beautiful place to pause, admire the scenery, and capture a few photos along the way. Shaped like an apple, the installation pays tribute to one of the things Kyperounda is best known for: its long tradition of apple production.

Positioned at a scenic viewpoint above the village, the spot frames sweeping views across Kyperounda and the surrounding mountains. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down for a moment and appreciate the landscape that makes this part of Cyprus so special.

The project was created through the support of the Kyperounda Diaspora Association, reflecting a strong connection between the village and the many people who continue to support it from abroad. More than just a photo spot, the space also carries a deeper meaning, having been dedicated to the memory of Katerina Allagiotou, a young woman from the village whose loss was deeply felt by the community.

Officially inaugurated on 31 May 2026, the viewpoint has quickly become a meaningful addition to the village. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to a place you know well, it’s worth adding to your walk through Kyperounda.
